It teaches the fundamentals and principles that allow the element boron to be recognized at the molecular level. The chemical reactions of boron provide an opportunity to gain in-depth insight into its role in chemical bonding.
Examination of the reactions and properties of boron compounds. Acquisition of information about the coordinations of the electron-deficient boron element, the molecular properties of boranes, diboranes, cyclic boron compounds, carboranes, their physical and chemical properties and the usage areas of boron compounds in industry.
| 1. | Textbooks containing up-to-date information on the structure of boron compounds provide basic theoretical information supported by other sources. |
| 2. | May have extensive knowledge about the basic physical and chemical properties of boron compounds. |
| 3. | Learns to synthesize boron compounds. |
| 4. | Can use, develop and transfer applied knowledge about the boron element. |
| 5. | Ability to identify and interpret problems related to boron compounds and share the results scientifically. |
