Objectives of the Course

To teach some methods used for irrigation scheduling and importance of irrigation scheduling to get optimum yield in crop production.

Course Content

The objective of irrigation scheduling and relevant definition, irrigation scheduling methods, soil moisture determination methods and irrigation scheduling based on soil moisture measurements, irrigation scheduling based on soil water balance method, using evapotranspiration of plants and pan evaporation methods for irrigation scheduling, estimation of evapotranspiration from climate data, irrigation scheduling based on plant monitoring.
