Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to give the importance of small ruminant dairying, dairy sheep and goat breeds, the issues related to herd management and genetic improvement methods in dairy sheep and goat production.

Course Content

The importance of small ruminant dairy animals, the characteristics of sheep and goat milk, dairy sheep and goat breeds, reproduction in dairy sheep and goats, annual breeding practices, genetic improvement, the some genetic improvement studies that it done in Turkey
