Objectives of the Course

The goal of the lecture is the understand of the biological aspects of medically important protozoa, the clinical features and pathologies associated with the diseases they cause, and the public health issues involved in their epidemiology and control

Course Content

To achieve the goal of the lecture, morphological features, life cycles, the clinical manifestations of the diseases, molecular and immunological basis of pathogenesis, ecology of disease transmission, antigenic variation, and molecular epidemiology will be discussed for many of the protozoan pathogens
