Objectives of the Course

The purpose of the course is to be to explain the effects of the energy, power and intensity of sound waves on audotory functions, the use of ultrasound in medicine.

Course Content

Introduction to acoustic subjects, physical properties of sound, energy, power and intensity of sound waves, physical basis of ear and hearing, theoretical mechanism of hearing, general properties of ultrasound, medical applications of ultrasound, and biological effects of ultrasound.
