Objectives of the Course

This course is aimed to perceive the importance of skill training in social studies and to gain the ability to teach skills effectively.

Course Content

The Definition of Skills, what is skill training and its aplications on Social Studies, examination of 27 skills in social studies curriculum.

Study of empathy, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, observation and map literacy skills in social studies curriculum

Studying the skills of legal literacy, communication, collaboration and prejudice in social studies curriculum
Week 9 - Theoretical
Studying the skills of using evidence, decision making, position analysis, media literacy and perception in the social studies curriculum.

Studying the self-control, political literacy and problem solving skills in the social studies curriculum

Studying the skills of social participation, drawing and interpreting tables, graphs and diagrams, using Turkish correctly, effectively and beautifully, innovative thinking and perceiving time and chronology in the social studies curriculum
