Objectives of the Course

To teach the basic characteristics, advantages and disadvantages of government systems and to teach in detail the systems of government applied in Turkey.

Course Content

The regimentation of the government systems based on the the theory of separation of powers, characteristics, advantages and disadvantages, and features of government systems that have been applied in Turkey.

1.To be able to explain the conceptual basis and importance of the principle of separation of powers
2.To be able to indicate the nature of the relations between legislative-executive in the classification of government systems as political regimes.
3.To be able to classify government systems based on unity of power.
4.To be able to classify government systems based on exact separation of power.
5.To know government systems based on soft and balanced separation of powers.
6.In the light of the current political developments in Turkey, analyzing the nature of the governmental system and its features.

Principle of separation of powers, meaning and conceptual basis. Legislative, executive and judicial relations in the classification of government systems
Week 2 - Theoretical
The meaning of the unity of power systems and the features of Assembly government system.

Principle of separation of powers: Examination of Parliamentary Government System; Examination of Presidential Government System
Week 4 - Theoretical
Examination of the Semi-Presidential Government System

The Presidential Parliamentary Government System and the Superpresidential Government System
