Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to help students to gain skills of discussing mental health concept, prevention of mental health, maintenance of mental health, and improvisation of mental health concepts; evaluating risk factors in mental health field; planning nursing care for risk groups; creating positive attitude oriented to prevention of violence and misuse.

Learning Outcomes
1.To be able to assess Mental Health Disorders and use appropriate nursing interventions
2.To discuss concepts of Prevention, maintenance and improvisation of health
3.To determine precautions for preventing mental and neurological disorders
4.To adopt making interdisciplinar work oriented to preventive mental health services
5.To evaluate risk factors in mental health field
6.To make plan for nursing care oriented to risk groups in mental health field
7.To know features of prisoners with mental disorders
8.To be willing to participate to services oriented to prevention of violence and misuse in public
9.To practise preventing, improving, treating mental health methods for requiring individuals
