Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to provide knowledge and skills about traditional and complementary practices in midwifery.

Course Content

Definition of traditional and complementary practices, use of traditional and complementary practices in the world and in Turkey and legal regulations, functional medicine, mind-body based practices (music therapy, art therapy, meditation, yoga, hypnosis, relaxation techniques), manipulative and body based practices (aromatherapy, massage, reflexology, exercise, hot and cold applications), energy-based applications (reiki, therapeutic touch, bioenergy, biofeedback), biological-based applications (phytotherapy), traditional health systems/alternative medical systems (acupuncture, Acupressure, TENS) , traditional and complementary practices in line with the evidence.
