Objectives of the Course

The purpose of this course is evaluating reproductive system, pregnancy, health assessment of mother and fetus on the basis of degree level of students, improving the ability of prenatal, natal and postnatal midwifery care at an advanced level, using interdisciplinary interaction, using and forming information by utilizing the information taken from different disciplines in this area, analyzing problems faced in this field by using research methods, leadership ability, identifiying social, scientific, cultural and ethical values in the study area and being able to teach these values .

Course Content

This course includes the improvement of the student's follow-up of pregnancy, delivery and periods after birth and midwifery care ability to an advanced level.

Learning Outcomes
1.To be able to give Prenatal care at an advanced level
2.To be able to evaluate maternal and fetal health during the prenatal period at an advanced level
3.To be able to manage intrapatum care at an advanced level
4.To be able to evaluate maternal and fetal / neonatal health in the normal labour at an advanced level
5.To be able to give women's care at an advanced level in the postpartum period
6.To be able to evaluate maternal and neonatal health at an advanced level in the normal post-natal period
7.To to be able to use advanced interdisciplinary interaction associated with pre-natal, natal and postnatal care
8.To be able to interpret information about the care during pre-natal, natal and postnatal care at an advanced level by integrating information from the fields in different disciplines and create new information
9.To be able to solve the national and international problems at an advanced level on pre-natal, natal and postnatal care
10.To be able to act appropriate to values of social, scientific, cultural and ethical at an advanced level in the fields pre-natal, labour and postpartum care
