Objectives of the Course

The aim of the course is to study the structures of the international organizations and comprehending their positions, functions and effects in the international system.

Course Content

This course covers a comprehensive study of the development of international organizations and their role in world politics. The central part of the course deals with the world-wide international organizations such as the League of Nations and the United Nations in particular, with special emphasis on their history, structure, performance and prospects, both in the maintenance of peace and in the economic and social field. Specialized and regional organizations will also be treated on a comparative and descriptive basis.

5.To be able to elaborate activities of the major international organizations in such fields as collective security, peacekeeping operations, international economy and trade.
