Objectives of the Course

At the end of this course, students; will comprehend the features of learning theories and approaches used in primary school mathematics education, will gain knowledge with the methods and techniques of these theories and approaches, and will gain knowledge, skills and attitudes about how to use the methods and techniques in these theories in lessons.

Course Content

Basic Concepts: Behavior, Learning and Teaching, behaviourist, cognitive, social learning theories. Techniques and methods used in mathematics teaching (learning, presentation, invention, scenario, microteaching, demonstration, demonstration, rules, experimental activities, games). Implementation in the classroom setting.
