Objectives of the Course

To define pharmacology as a branch of science that investigates the interaction of living systems with chemical agents

Course Content

Describe the general principles of pharmacology and the basic pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic properties of drugs. Describe the properties of drugs. Recognition of drug entry into organism, distribution, elimination. Sequence of molecules in which drugs interact. Recognition of drug receptors and ligands. Recognition of drug interactions. Identify the mediator molecules that provide communication between cells and their effects, mechanisms of action and their function as drug targets.
