Course Content

The kidney has an important role in maintaining the volume and composition of body fluids. Many drugs and metabolites are also excreted through the kidneys. Diuretics play an important role among the drugs that affect the functions of this organ. The kidneys are of great importance in maintaining the acid-base and electrolyte balance in maintaining the normal functions of the body. However, infections related to the genitourinary system are also important problems that cause disruption of the operation of this system.
