To learn the meaning of chemotherapy, classification, use and the harmful effects of chemotherapeutic drugs.
Chemotherapy is a form of treatment with drugs that can destroy or stop microorganisms or parasites that surround the body without damaging the host. Today many new drugs are being developed for this purpose. Therefore, the basic principles of the effects of drugs that can show activity against microorganisms, resistance development mechanisms, use of drugs and side effects will be emphasized.
