Objectives of the Course

The aims of this course is to present the concepts of recreation and urban recreational areas, to present the definition, importance, history of park areas, park areas hierarchy, , planning, design and management principles among urban recreational areas, and to conduct sample research on these subjects.

Course Content

In the course content, the city, recreation and urban recreational areas are defined with examples. The definition, importance and history of park areas in the urban ecosystem are presented. The hierarchy of park areas in the urban landscape is presented. By presenting the planning, design and management principles of park areas, research on these issues is carried out in sample research areas.
