Objectives of the Course

The purpose of this course is to teach students basic concepts about genetics, genetic diseases, prevention of genetic diseases, genetic counseling and information about diagnosis and treatment methods.

Course Content

In this lesson genetic material, nucleic acid, DNA, RNA, gene, transcription, chromosome, mitosis and meioses, gametogenesis, Mendel’s laws, genotype, phenotype, gene effects and interactions, mutation, sex-related heredity are discussed.
