Objectives of the Course

To have information the operation of laboratory equipment, concerning the determination of capabilities and limitations when examining metabolism and functions of macronutrients and micronutrients.

Course Content

Metabolism and function of nutrients, structure and properties of some biomolecules, biochemical energy conversion, biosynthesis of vitamins and cofactors, operation of laboratory equipment, studies to determine the capabilities and limitations will be discussed.

1.Has knowledge the critical points related to biochemistry nutrition at an advanced level.
2.Has knowledge about the structure and properties of biomolecules, biochemical energy conversion, biosynthesis of vitamins and cofactors.
3.Gains the practice competency of knowledge and skills about macronutrients and bioactive components in laboratory.
4.Evaluates the metabolism and functions of macro and micro nutrients and researches on laboratory procedures.
5.Learns the operation practical at laboratory equipment.
