Objectives of the Course

The objective of this course is to give information about infectious diseases of cage birds.

Course Content

Bacterial, viral, fungal and parasitic agents causing infections in cage birds, their etiological characteristics and the diseases they cause, epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical signs, necropsy findings, bacteriological, serological and allergic diagnosis, treatment and protection.

1.1. To be able to describe infectious diseases of cage birds
2.2. To be able to define epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical signs, necropsy findings, bacteriological, serological and allergic diagnosis, treatment and protection
3.3. To be able to use the necessary information
4.Be able to isolate bacteria from cage birds.
5.To have knowledge about Chlamydia psittaci infection.
