Objectives of the Course

Introduction of Metallurgical Information and Generated Mine Works of Anatolian Iron Age Cultures

Course Content

Urartians in Eastern Anatolia, Neo Hittites in Southeastern Anatolia, Phrygians, Lydia and Eastern Aegean cultural groups were among the Iron Age Anatolian societies. Metal artifacts produced by these societies, which have great contributions to Anatolian cultural history, are spread over a wide area beyond the boundaries of geography. These works, which are seen from continental Greece to Italy and even to France, the production techniques and distribution scheme are the main topic of the course.
