Objectives of the Course

To analyze introduction to Classical Turkish literature’s sources and the necessary resources for the interpretation of classical Turkish literature.

Course Content

To illustrate the social life and traditions in classical Turkish literature. To provide information about the use of proverbs and idioms in the Ottoman poetry. To provide information about the love of classical Turkish poetry. To introduce the types of Divan poetry. Belonging to art concepts and provide information about the use of terms.
