Objectives of the Course

To grasp the problem of freedom by the comparision of the concepts of necessity, determinism and causality.

Course Content

Reading of the major works of Seneca, Rousseau, Mill, Marcuse and Sartre. The concepts of logos, pantheism, duty, individualism, cosmopolitanism and etc. are clarified.
