Sociology Master's Without Thesis - Second Shift Education
The students who have successfully completed a minimum of 24 local credits (50 ECTS) from thought courses delivered within the graduate programme of the department and in related fields, achieved a CGPA of at least 70 out of 100 and prepared and successfully completed a final project are given Sociology Master's Without Thesis diploma.

Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning
The student that has enrolled with graduate transfer is exempted from the equivalent courses that s/he has taken from her/his former program. Credit transfer for a course previously taken by the students registered with horizontal or vertical transfer may be accepted if the credits and the content of the course comply with the relevant course given in this faculty.
Profile of The Programme
The Masters courses in Sociology involve interdisciplinary programs that bring together teaching and research from a wide variety of sociological disciplines such as of social theory, methodology and research techniques, current problems of political sociology, contemporary social thinkers, migration and social change, globalization and new world order, risk society, cultural studies, urbanization, women’s studies and like. Taking into account that students will be naturally interested in different areas of sociology we try to keep the number of elective lectures as high as possible. Another issue which our department gives importance is that to make sure that students understand the close relationship between the theory and practice/research. Currently there are 3 Professors, 3 Associate Professor, 6 Assistant Professor, 2 Research Assistant (Dr), 3 Research Assistant working full-time in the Department.
