Objectives of the Course

The purpose of this course is to give current information on the diagnosis, treatment, and family-centered nursing care of the child with emergency and intensive care needs.

Course Content

This course includes the issues related to care needs for hospitalized children’s diagnosis, treatment, and family-centered nursing care in emergency and intensive care unit.

Learning Outcomes
1. To define the appropriate legal and ethical approaches in emergency and intensive care unit,
2.Define triage in emergency situations children identify the most important priorities in order, and convenient transportation
3.To define the child's developmental needs and appropriate emergency and intensive care nursing approaches differences
4. To explain the significant immediate problems the child's respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, gastrointestinal, and genitourinary systems, and nursing approaches
5. To explain the problems of child in need of intensive care respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and endocrine systems, and nursing approaches
