Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to be understand of biotechnologically important metabolites produced by extremophiles, to give an information about diversity, physiology and isolation of extremophilic prokaryotes.

Course Content

Industrial metabolites produced by extremophiles; extremozymes, antifreeze proteins, antimicrobial substances Extremophile whole cell applications, extremolytes used in cosmetics and pharmasotic industry Examples of extremophilic prokaryotes , their habitats and isolation.
