Objectives of the Course

This course aims to examine the economic structure, global development, and competitive dynamics of the health tourism sector.

Course Content

This course examines the economic structure, development, and international competitive dynamics of the health tourism sector. The course covers the functioning of health tourism markets, supply and demand structures, economic factors influencing health tourists' preferences, the impact of health tourism on national and regional economies, and cost and pricing processes. Furthermore, it analyzes the competitiveness elements of health tourism destinations, the strategies of leading countries in the global market, public policies, incentive mechanisms, investment decisions, and sustainable competitive advantage. Throughout the course, indicators for evaluating the economic performance of the health tourism sector, competitiveness measurement methods, and current global developments are discussed within the framework of case studies. The aim is to enable students to gain the competence to evaluate the economic dynamics and competitive dimensions of health tourism at national and international levels.
