Science Education Program under the Department of Mathematics and Science Education started in 2009 under the Institute of Science. The Mathematics Education Program started teaching in 2017 under the Institute of Science and Technology. Its aim is to assist the professional development of science and mathematics teachers and to improve their scientific research skills.
History
Institute of Natural Sciences and Law No. 3837 be established in conjunction with the establishment of Adnan Menderes University. However, in the academic year 1994-1995 has started its activities. Science Education Program started education in 2009 under the Institute of Science. The Mathematics Education Program started teaching in 2017 under the Institute of Science and Technology.
Mission
Mathematics and Science Education Department, graduate and doctorate program conducted on the basis of modern approaches to contemporary measurement and evaluation approaches, informed, can improve education activities in line with technological developments, the process of using different teaching methods and instructional strategies, aims to train qualified individuals to follow the studies in the field.
Vision
National and international levels to maximize the reputation of the Department of mathematics and science education, Accepted national and international level in the field, and preferred to be in a position, Within the European Union harmonization process, dissemination and implementation of development projects that our country needs to participate actively in science education and scientific research to support the information and equipment.
Purpose
The aim of the Department of Mathematics and Science Education is to develop the scientific knowledge, skills and understanding of mathematics and science teachers and researchers in the field of mathematics and science education.
Physical Infrastructure
11 classrooms, 1 doctoral classroom, 1 science laboratory, 1 physics laboratory, 1 science classroom can be used for the lessons.
Technical Infrastructure
Experimental equipments in science and physics laboratories, a computer laboratory and central library can be used for research.
