Objectives of the Course

The course is designed to teach students the calculations used in modern biochemistry and molecular biology

Units and Quantities, Solution and Dilution Preparation, Molecular weight, Stoichiometry, Acids, bases and buffers, Biological Molecules, Bioenergetics, Enzymes, Spectrophotometry and other optical methods, Isotopes

1.Students learn the necessary mathematical operations in the preparation of solutions, acid-base and other chemical reactions in the laboratory.
2.Students will be able to calculate complex equilibrium and buffer systems in biological systems.
3.Students will have knowledge about spectrophotometry and other optical methods.
4.Students learn how to apply biochemical calculations in their research and professional fields.
5.Students learn how calculations are used in enzymology, bioenergetics
