The aim of this course is to examine the reflections of ecofeminist theory in literature, cinema, media, and cultural production. Throughout the course, students will analyze how themes such as nature, gender, environmental crisis, human-animal relationships, indigenous peoples, body politics, capitalism, globalization, and ecological justice are represented in world literature and various media texts. In addition, students will develop the ability to interpret literary and visual texts through ecofeminist critical methods, evaluate the relationship between environment and gender from an interdisciplinary perspective, and gain critical awareness of contemporary environmental issues.
