Objectives of the Course

Psychosocial development theory, sexual development theory, cognitive development theories, language development theories, moral development theories, humanistic approach and bioecological theory will be emphasized. Knowing the importance of knowing development theories, basic principles about development, factors affecting development, knowing how development should be supported in various ways starting from development theories.

Course Content

Development theories will be examined in detail and comparatively.

Learning Outcomes
1.Knows and discusses what development theories are trying to explain.
2.2. Gelişim kuramlarını bilir, tartışır ve karşılaştırır.
3.Can use his/her accumulated information on his/her profession in favor of health, educational and social services organizations, particularly for children and their families, takes active roles in developmental and educational programs and related projects; participates in researches.
4.Acts in accordance with the ethics of science, observes the psychological state of the children and their families in experimental researches on children.
5.Can integrate his/her accumulated information about his/her profession with information from different disciplines, and can create multidisciplinary workspaces by participating team work.
