Objectives of the Course

It is aimed to gain knowledge about the stages of the scientific research process, ethical principles, research models, sampling methods, data collection methods, research planning, using appropriate measurement tools in researches, interpreting data collected in researches and giving reporting skills.

Course Content

The course will focus on basic concepts related to scientific research, classification of scientific researches, steps of research process, determination of research method, collection of data, analysis, writing of research report, examination of researches in child development field and research planning in child development field.

1.1. Bilimsel yöntemi açıklayabilecek,
2.2. Araştırma türlerini genel anlamda tanımlayabilecek, araştırma sürecinin aşamalarını sıralayabilecek ve bir araştırma problemini tanımlayabilecek,
3.Describe the ethical rules that must be followed in child development and education research and define the ethical principles required in the reporting process,
4.Identify the variables of the research, hypotheses, the purpose of the research, the basic problem and sub-problems,
5.Describe sampling methods,
6.Will be able to define the basic concepts of measurement,
7.Will be able to list sections of a scientific text,
8.Will be able to explain the importance of the rules considered in the preparation of scientific reports / papers.
