Objectives of the Course

This study aims to examine the periods that Turkish music theory has gone through since the 15th century.

Course Content

1. Studies conducted by researchers who lived between the 15th and 20th centuries. 2. The works of Yusuf of Kırşehir, Bedr-i Dilşâd, Hızır Bin Abdullah, Kadızâde Mehmet Tirevî, and el-Rûmî. 3. The works of Seydi, Ali Ufkî Bey, and Dimitri Kandemi. 4. The works of Kutbinâyi Osman Dede, Gülşenî, and Kemâni Hızır Ağa. 5. The works of Kevserî, Abdülbâki Nâsır Dede, and Hâşim Bey.
