Objectives of the Course

To learn genetic structure and properties of bacteria, genetic material transfer methods, recombinant DNA methods in bacteria

Course Content

Classification of bacteria, Next generation sequencing methods, Genetic structures and elements of bacterial cells, Structure of bacterial chromosome, Extrachromosomal genetic elements, DNA replication mechanism in bacteria, Gene expression in bacteria, Regulation of gene expression, operon concept, Genetic material transfers, Genomic modifications, CRISPR / Cas9 system, Cloning methods in bacteria, Gene library creation, The importance of bacteria in genetic studies.
