Objectives of the Course

It covers the transfer of technical knowledge about obtaining homozygous lines in plant breeding using dihaploid technique.

Course Content

Chromosome folding, chromosome folding methods, Mutation types in chromosomes, Meiosis evaluations in chromosomes, Introduction to anther culture, importance of anther culture in plant breeding, Variation creation, haploid plant production with anther culture, haploid plant detection methods, anther culture and cytogenetics, Chromosome folding, Flowcytometric analysis, chimeras, chromosome abnormalities, dihaploid plant detection, Importance of dihaploid plants in breeding. Homozygous plant acquisition and purity analysis.
