To show comparatively the contributions of Western scientific societies and Ottoman scientific and professional societies to science. To increase students' interest in science and scientific activities.
The contribution of Western scientific societies to scientific developments and the patronage support behind these societies will be compared with Ottoman scientific societies. It will be examined that how the scientific and professional societies in the Ottoman Empire were seen and if it was supported by the Ottoman Empire. With the emergence of the relationship between these societies and the political power, it will be better understood why Ottoman did not produce enough information against the West.
