The aim of this course is to examine the Constitutional Experience in the Ottoman Empire in order to understand the conditions of the Republic of Turkey during the establishment process.
One of the major events that marked the transition in the last century of Ottoman Empire was the constitutional rule. Constitutional Monarchy has caused very important social and political changes. Courses include the detailed review of the late Ottoman political life.

| 3. | Students explain the basic concepts related to Turkey's political life. They determine their own ideas about transformation of Turkish political opinion. |

| 5. | Students apply the knowledge of Ottoman political life to Turkey’s political devolopments and historiography |
