Objectives of the Course

Basic principles of laboratory animal breeding, production methods, general characteristics of mouse, rat, hamster, rabbit and gerbil and environmental conditions in shelter and cage, housing-feeding practices, main health problems, and some laboratory applications.

Course Content

The concept of laboratory animal, physical factors affecting laboratory animal rearing, production methods, and morphological and physiological characteristics of mouse, rat, hamster, guinea pig, gerbil and rabbit.
