Objectives of the Course

To understand the morphology and biology of important cestods of domestic animals, symptoms of diseases they cause, methods used for the diagnosis and treatment of the diseases they cause

Course Content

Known species of cestods of domestic animals such as Diphylobothrium, Taenia, Echinococcus, Monezia, Diphylidium , their morphology and biology, larval forms seen in animals and humans serving as carriers, symptoms of diseases caused by these parasites in hosts and carriers, methods for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention, present status and prevelance of diseases caused by cestods.
