Objectives of the Course

To endow with necessary methods and technics to be able to do research in economics.

Course Content

The concept of method, importance of method in science, principal scientific methods, method in economics, scientific explanation, theory, model, hypothesis, discussions of method, pozitivizm, logical pozitivists, the seperation of analitic – synthetic proposition, critical rationalism, pozitive economics, normative economics, external and internal factors which effect of method, the main economics schools and its methods, uncertainity and externality problems, method problem at education of economics in Turkey.

1.	Informing the students about basic problems of economics methodology such as the aim of economics analysis, valid resources of economic facts, the scope of economics, limitations of applying the information about economics and the structure related to economic theories and models.
