Objectives of the Course

The course aims to examine basic principles of hemodynamics, structure and function of circulation and respiration systems, physical properties of blood and viscosity, Poiseuille's law, Bernouilli's law, laminar and turbulent flow, Laplace's law, pressure, volume and resistance relations in blood vessels and respiratory system will be examined. Efficiency and power of heart, cardiac cycle, arterial pressure pulse proliferation and blood pressure measurement, gas laws related with respiration, surface tension and alveolar mechanics, compliance, respiration parameters.

Course Content
