The course aims to investigate the central and peripheral nervous systems, related endocrine glands and how hormones function in the brain to regulate physiology and behavior.
The course will investigate central and peripheral nervous system and related endocrine glands, how hormones function in the brain to regulate physiology and behavior. Particular emphasis is placed on neuropeptides and also more details on the organization and operation of different hypothalamus-pituitary-endocrine gland axes will be presented. In addition, the in vitro, in vivo and in situ properties of neuroimmune system elements and related functional disorders will be presented.
