Objectives of the Course

Teaching the indications of reproductive ultrasonographical examination in domestic animals

Course Content

The indications of reproductive ultrasonography in female animals are explained theoretically, and the application opportunity is provided to students in clinical practice.

1.Learning the anatomy of the reproductive organs and their positions in domestic animals
2.Learning the technical information on the clinical ultrasonography. Recognizing artefacts and learning reduction methods
3.Learning the indications of reproductive ultrasonography
4.Learning to follow the morphological changes during the cycle in non-pregnant animals ultrasonographically
5.Learning pregnancy diagnosis by ultrasonography in pets
6.Determining fetal vitality by ultrasonography, detecting the stress, determining the time of birth.
7.Learning about Doppler USG, learning to evaluate mother and fetuses with Doppler ultrasonography.
8.Learning to evaluate the reproductive status of females in the postpartum period with postnatal gynecological ultrasonography
