Founded in 2013, the department continues to offer clinical psychology doctoral education. Preliminary studies on the provision of graduate education have been completed, and Clinical Psychology and Psychology Master's Programmes are ready to accept students. The department has two professors, two associate professors, six assistant professors, two doctor research assistants and 2 research assistants.

fter the establishment of the Department of Psychology in the Department of Psychology, which was established with the meeting of the Council of Higher Education dated 6.5.2005, students were admitted to the Clinical Psychology (integrated) PhD programme for the first time in the 2013-14 academic year. Today, the department has 24 doctoral students. Prof. Dr. Hacer Harlak has been the head of the department since its establishment.

The mission of the program is to educate specialists who are well-informed about theoretical and practical scientific knowledge and capable of conducting research and practices in line with ethical principles and to educate scientists who are capable of conducting research that contribute to accumulation of knowledge.

Our vision is to form a department which educate specialists and scientists who can make original contributions to scientific knowledge and successful practices within their professions.

Our purpose is to educate specialists who are aware of contemporary theoretical and applied knowledge and who can conduct research and applications based on ethical principles, and to educate scientists who can make contributions to accumulation of knowledge.

Within the psychology department; there are Clinical Psychology Laboratory, Lifelong Development Laboratory, Interpersonal Relations Laboratory, Cognitive Psychology Laboratory, Neuropsychology Laboratory, Laboratory of Suicide and Stress Researchs and one seminar room.

There are 2 computers, eye tracking device, carbon monoxide measuring device and 2 printers.
