Objectives of the Course

To enable the student to comprehend the basic principles in intensive care nursing and the philosophy of intensive care nursing.

This course teaches nursing care for intensive care patient care needs.

1.To prepare and execute an individualized care plan in line with requirements of intensive care patients.
2.To meet psychosocial requirements of intensive care patients and their families.
3.To learn vital signs, systems and hemodynamic measurements requiring to be observed in intensive care units, and to evaluate aberrations
4.To have information about ethical and legal issues related to intensive care nursing
5. Evaluates the nursing interventions applied to the patients in intensive care unit.
