Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to give information about the history of epigenetics, mechanisms of epigenetic processes, methods used and model organism studies, epigenetic-related human diseases, epidemiology and therapy, as well as Web-based epigenetic knowledge banks and bioinformatics tools.

Course Content

Epigenetic mechanisms, the processes they play a role in, epigenetic mechanisms that regulate heritable changes in gene function without changes in DNA sequence, and current techniques and databases used in epigenetic research.
