Objectives of the Course

Examining the relationship between social class and culture in modern societies within the context of class and cultural studies

Course Content

Going beyond the economic determinism of classical social class approaches, this class examines cultural processes as one of the determinants in producing and reproducing inequalities and power through theoretical and empirical studies and examples form both Turkey and the world.
