The main aim of this course will be to examine the effects of tourism on society. Tourism has become a very important phenomenon especially today. The important role that tourism plays in social life in economic and socio-cultural sense; made it one of the focal points of sociology. Tourism is a social phenomenon. Tourism is a dynamic of “change”. The socio-cultural interaction realized through tourism is also extremely wide-ranging and multidimensional. Starting from this point, our course aims to focus on the effects of tourism on society.
Topics such as tourism, alternative tourism, tourism and local people, tourism and family structure, tourism and social change discussions will be examined.
