Objectives of the Course

Elucidation of some crucial concepts including modernization and secularism which are very important for the development of Modern Turkey. As well as setting forth the history of philosophical studies in Turkey.

Course Content

This course is a introduction to that modernization and secularism and development of philosophical thought. The most important doctrins in Turkish Thought: Positivism, Materialism, Islamism etc. and development of academic philosophy and philosophers.
