Objectives of the Course

The period when the oldest written documents of the Turkish language were written, the age of the Turkish language and the development of the Turkish language since the 7th century, the knowledge and understanding of the life and culture of the Turks.

Course Content

Being knowledgeable about the history development and vocabulary of the Turkish language since the introduction of written documents of the Turkic language to the 12th century

1.Develops information on the field of Orhun Turkish at the level of expertise
2.Develops information on the field of Uighur Turkish at the level of expertise
3.to be able to compare the Old Turkish language and culture s/he learnt with other old cultures and languages.
4.to be able to access the older forms of present words and knows their present forms well.
5. to be able to get the understanding about the Old Turkish culture by relating to disciplines of culture as History and Sociology, and can have a total look upon the field by analyzing the similar and different aspects
