Objectives of the Course

To teach the context and function of folk believes and rituals.

The scope of the studies of turkish folk believes, its subject-matter, methodology and basic concepts The concepts of ritual and theories of ritual The genres in which rituals and folk believes are expressed as a dramatic forms, their generic charateristics in the conceptualization of ritual and ways of analytical interpretion.
